About Elisabeth

One ordinary, snowy evening in November 2009 my daughter got sick.  She was 18 months old.  After a long, sleepless night, I brought her to the hospital, naïvely thinking they would help her.  After waiting over 12 hours in Emergency, she was finally admitted to hospital and spent the next 5 days fighting for her life. Those 5 days changed my opinion of the medical profession forever.  I vowed at her bedside I would do everything I could to make sure no one else had to go through what we went through.  I asked the Universe for guidance, courage, and the fortitude to follow the path towards forgiveness and healing. That path led me to Pure Homeopathy.

What is Pure Homeopathy?

These are the 8 Guiding Principles of my practice:

GUIDANCE:  The body always tells us exactly what it needs in order to heal.  There are no exceptions. DISEASE:  Disease is not a noun.  It is a verb. Disease is the body’s insistence to maintain a particular pattern of disharmony, irrespective of what caused it. Targeting the end-products of disease does not affect the process which created the disease in the first place. For example:  Cancer is not a tumour.  Cancer is not a thing.  Cancer is a process. You can get rid of a tumour by poisoning it, by burning it, or by cutting it out, but the process which created the tumour will continue to manifest (either as another tumour OR as a new and completely different form) because it never left.

HEALING:  Your disease process and how it needs to heal is completely unique to you.

Disease is a process.  Healing is a process.  Life is a process.  Life is constantly in the process of becoming.  There is no pre-determined future “out there” waiting to happen to you. You make decisions and choices every moment in order for your future to become real.  You can choose to live the way you’ve always had (and continue the process of being sick) OR you can choose to create a healing environment to support the new creation you are in the process of becoming.

It is true that we experience ourselves as coerced and victimized by circumstance, especially by the reality of our past decisions.  We can never escape our past.  We can, however, always choose a future that is new and uncharted.  We can choose freedom through self-creation.

MYTH:  The more terrible the disease, the more terrible the cure.

We secretly believe we get the disease we deserve. The worse the disease, the worse the sin, the worse the punishment. This is not Truth.

TRUTH:  Your illness wants to be of service to you.  It wants to be healed.

Imagine for a moment that your disease is happening for your benefit.  It wants to help you grow, learn, and become a more fully realised version of yourself.  Your illness’ highest purpose is to teach you wisdom and help you find joy.

CURE:  Cure is not possible for some people.  Cure is not impossible for everyone else.

Let’s continue the process of imagining: imagine that your body is a radio and you are stuck listening to the Disease Channel. Conventional Medicine acknowledges the Disease and then blames the radio.  First, they turn the mute on.  Then they rip the radio apart, change this, tweak that, put in various parts scrounged from other sundry appliances, and oil parts that don’t need oiling.  Before long, the radio is a wreck.  It is on 3 or 4 Disease channels all at the same time, the mute button doesn’t work anymore, and it is barely being held together with duct tape.  “See?” the doctors say with an air of learned pomposity, “Your Disease is incurable.  The radio was defective from the very beginning.  There is nothing else that can be done.” But consider this:  There is no voice in the radio.  There isn’t a little person sitting inside the radio talking to you.  There isn’t someone inside the radio, gleefully pushing buttons to make you miserable.  The “voice in the radio” is a transmission.  A radio broadcasts information.  It doesn't create content. You can investigate the minutiae of the radio for 1000 years and not find what you’re looking for.  You’re looking in the wrong place.  There is no voice in the radio. It is my responsibility to tune the radio to the Healing Channel.  Provided the radio still works reasonably well, one day you’ll be able to listen to the Radio Station you want, when you want, where you want, at the volume you want (Cure). Your responsibility is to love and nurture the radio.  Take it for walks.  Feed it simple, nourishing food.  Hang out with people you like... and who like you! Create your own content, broadcast your stories, and share them friends (or not).  Your stories can be happy, sad, innovative, or humorous.  They can be a one-man show.  They can be symphonies of epic proportions.  And then, please stop beating the shit out of yourself. IDEAL:  The Standard of Care should be its Highest Ideal – the rapid, gentle, complete, pleasant, and permanent restoration of health. GIFT:  Homeopathy has been practiced for over 200 years with a complete absence of iatrogenesis (making people sick in the pursuit of health). Its breadth, scope, and depth is unparalleled in the History of Medicine.

What to Expect at the Initial Appointment

Have you ever had the experience of meeting someone for the first time and you just “clicked”?  Have you also had the experience where you took one look at someone and just wanted to run away, screaming?  Of course you have.  And so have I. I really enjoy meeting patients for the first time over a cup of coffee (or tea) in a nice coffee shop somewhere. There's no sales pitch - it's just the opportunity for us to get to know each other.  After a while, maybe you'll even feel comfortable enough to talk about the reason why we're meeting - your health and what you want to do about it.
Most people want to be healed but have absolutely no idea what that looks like in real life.  Some people want to be able to play with their kids again.  Others want to stop taking their meds and never have to worry about it.  If you’re not clear what healing means to you, how will you know you’ve reached it?  How do you know if working with me is going to help you get there? At the end of our meeting, you’ll have a better idea which direction to take on your healing journey.  It might include me, it might not.  You’ll have the information you need to make the next choice - the choice that feels good in your heart.
